Client stories

Notes from finance teams who brought us into their audit cycles.

“They kept a live query log that our Big Four team could trust. We still had late inventory counts, but the follow-ups stopped bouncing between three inboxes.”
— Mei L., Group Financial Controller, Kowloon trading group · External auditor collaboration
“The readiness memo was blunt about our related-party files. That stung for a week; it also meant the planning meeting did not derail on day one.”
— Adrian W., CFO, family-owned manufacturer · Audit readiness review
“I needed someone who could rebuild fixed-asset rolls while we closed AP. They finished the binder index before the seniors arrived — not glamorous, exactly what we paid for.”
— Priya S., Accounting Manager, professional services firm · Working paper & PBC support
“The PBC index matched what the engagement partner asked for on day one. Preparation took longer than we hoped; the fieldwork week itself felt calmer than last year.”
— Daniel C., Finance Manager, Kwun Tong logistics company · External auditor collaboration

Extended story: First-year auditor change

A mid-sized trading group switched auditors after a decade with the same firm. Prior binders used naming conventions the new team did not recognise, and three subsidiaries closed books on different calendars.

Ai Automationhub ran a two-week readiness sprint, rebuilt a shared index for cash, inventory, and revenue cut-off, then provided on-site cover during two staggered fieldwork weeks. Open points from the old management letter were either cleared with evidence or formally accepted as residual risks for the new auditor’s attention.

The controller’s reservation: “We underestimated how long the ERP export cleanup would take; next year we will start the readiness sprint a month earlier.” The engagement still met the board’s reporting date.
