How we work
The engagement rhythm for external auditor collaboration — from kickoff briefing to representation-letter close-out.
External audits move on calendars set by reporting deadlines, inventory counts, and the auditor’s own resource plan. Our liaison rhythm mirrors those milestones so your team is not inventing a parallel process.
We work from The Quayside area in Kwun Tong and travel to client sites across Hong Kong. The steps below are the default sequence for a statutory year-end; special-purpose audits may compress stages one and two.
Kickoff briefing
We map the auditor’s requested PBC list against your chart of accounts, prior-year open points, and the physical locations where inventory or cash counts will run.
Document room & index
Lead schedules, bank confirmations, fixed-asset rolls, and contracts are indexed so the engagement team can retrieve items without chasing individual mailboxes.
Fieldwork week support
A named liaison sits with management during visits — logging queries, arranging interviews, and flagging items that need board or owner input before the cut-off.
Close-out & representation letters
We walk through residual review points, help draft management responses, and confirm what remains for the auditor’s opinion process — which stays with the appointed firm.
