About

A Hong Kong audit-liaison practice built for finance teams who need calm fieldwork, not another set of opinions.

Why we exist

Year-end audits stall when document requests scatter across inboxes and nobody owns the query log. Ai Automationhub was formed to give Hong Kong finance teams a dedicated liaison who understands both the auditor’s sampling needs and the practical limits of a mid-sized accounting department.

Origin

The practice began after repeated year-ends where controllers in Kwun Tong and Kowloon spent nights rebuilding lead schedules that should have been indexed weeks earlier. We set out to offer that indexing and fieldwork cover as a defined engagement — not as last-minute overtime.

Expertise

Our practitioners come from statutory audit and industry finance roles. Day-to-day vocabulary includes materiality thresholds, substantive sampling, cut-off testing, management representation letters, and the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance reporting calendar. We stay on the client side of independence rules.

People & working approach

You meet a named liaison for the cycle, plus a backup for peak fieldwork weeks. We prefer short standing calls over long status decks. Open items are written down with owners and dates; verbal “we’ll handle it” promises are not treated as closed.

Values

  • Clarity over volume — fewer documents, correctly cross-referenced, beat overflowing shared folders.
  • Respect for the appointed auditor — we facilitate; we do not compete with or second-guess the opinion process.
  • Local presence — Hong Kong business hours, local phone line, and willingness to sit in the room during counts and walkthroughs.

Community

We work with trading groups, logistics operators, professional-services firms, and family-owned manufacturers whose reporting sits in Hong Kong even when operations span the region. If your group needs multi-entity coordination, we plan calendars entity by entity rather than forcing a single artificial timeline.
